Really short bridal hair?

I am getting my hair cut very short ( a bit like Kylie Minogue has hers) as my b/f very bravely confessed last night that he thinks my longer hair makes me look a lot older than I am. The thing is we are getting married next year and that means I have to think about a different hair accessory than the one I had planned, so would you say a delicate tiara or a Feather Fascinator? Are fascinators worn on the top of your head or the side? I have never seen a bride wear one before!
I also had never heard of fascinators either, but having looked up the term on the web it is sort of like a plume of feathers attached to a clip. It must be an American term, but they also call them that in the UK. have checked out all the wedding sites but there is not much advise about short hair, as most girls grow their hair long for their wedding.
