present from boyfriend? what am i supposed to do with it?

Well, for christmas my boyfriend got me this really pretty Swarovski Crystal Necklace thing. And I’ve basically been wearing it everyday since he gave it to me… but it’s a red crystal (red is my favorite color) and it doesn’t match with my clothes sometimes, (i still love it though, so i wear it)
But is it okay if I didn’t wear it everyday? I mean I really do like it! Or should I just wear it when I see him?
in a past relationship, by boyfriend got me a really pretty diamond necklace & i wore it everyday (until we broke up) cause it matched with everything.
but this necklace doesn’t match all the time & i have other necklaces that i also like to wear.
